The Haven

Growing up (and even as I get older) I’ve always had this deep realization that with the mindset of “if it isn’t one thing, it’s another.” Or “when it rains, it pours.” That was usually due to an area of my life “spilling over” into another area of my life. Creating an overall peak or deep pitfall in my life. So I decided to make a major change. That change required me to leave certain people in the past and it required me to unlearn certain things I was taught over the years. Things that kept me traumatized, mentally stuck, and creating cycles I was ready to let go of.

I’ve always felt like I was different, alone, or the “black sheep” if you will, on my mom’s side of the family. Especially when I went against anything that is demonized or what was supposed to be a taboo when it came to family dynamics and equality. I learned very quickly that family isn’t what we are raised to believe that it is. We aren’t “equal,” especially if someone in the family tries to challenge an elder or a “family favorite.” So alone in my room I decided to create. And not just anything. I wanted to create digital assets that people could relate to, and I could just express myself and share my creativity.

I consider my life as a “home.” The different rooms in my proverbial home are the different aspects of my life, and I treat them as such. Since I have always felt “out of this world,” I wanted my website to resemble or match the whole alien spaceship aesthetic as my new home, and my online presence as my own world.

💜The Symbolism of a Home:

The concept of home and its individual rooms often transcends mere physical space, embodying deeper emotional, psychological, and cultural meanings. The home in general is a symbol of:

  1. Safety and security.

  2. Identity and personal expression

  3. Social connections

  4. Memory and nostalgia

  5. Transition and growth

  6. Spiritual and psychological dimensions

  7. Aesthetic and artistic expression

In summary, a home is not just a physical structure; it is a complex embodiment of identity, relationships, memories, and personal growth. Each room within it carries its own significance, contributing to the overall narrative of the inhabitants’ lives.

I’ve curated my online presence to reflect these different aspects of my life as a way to compartmentalize those aspects. I also wanted to connect it to my music, podcast, and other social media platforms. They focus heavily on family ties, other relationship dynamics, and consciousness and spirituality.

This song is called “I’m Out of This World”

Do you have a “home away from home?” Regardless of it being online or a physical location. This is meant to be a community more than anything else.
