The bathroom

💜The Bathroom represents:

  •   Cleansing and Renewal: Bathrooms symbolize purification and transformation, reflecting the need to let go of the past and renew oneself.

  •   Introspection: A private space for reflection, it can represent self-care and emotional health.

When I was younger, I would always sing in the shower. And I would pretend that I was a radio show host in the mirror. I would always talk to myself and pretend that I was interviewing someone very important. If only I knew back then that I was doing a lot of mirror magic. 🤭

Some of my music is about my curiosity and wonder for space, time, and religion/ spiritual beliefs. I wrote a big majority of my songs or poetry around what I was experiencing or going through with certain family members or a relationship dynamic in those moments in time.

Before i produced a beat or created an actual song, I would write a lot of poetry. I would share those poems on social media with friends and family. I was oblivious to the fact that my poems were too honest about whatever I had to say about family relationships. On top of how they didn’t distinct one side of the family from the other. The “supportive” side felt hurt by my words. The other side felt more disdain and boy did they show it. I realized in those moments that there is a stigma when it comes to talking openly about “family business.” Another lesson learned the hard way. Little did I or anyone else know that I would get my story out one way or another.

Guided Synchronicity
Guided Synchronicity description

The video below was a promo for my EP series.

Guided Synchronicity EP series

I remember the first day I started making instrumentals.. I was only doing it as a form of creative release. I had no intentions of releasing anything I made back then. So, they added up over time. I remember showing my mom one of my instrumentals and of course like a typical mom, she shooed me away. My elders love music but they don’t “respect” it or the process of creating it, and they don’t see it as an actual way to make income. That made me feel a little down so I stopped. It wasn’t until we went to another family gathering (after my older cousin got married in Mexico), I had my iPad with me, he and a childhood friend of his asked to see what I was doing. This cousin happens to be a DJ by the way. I showed them and allowed them to listen to an instrumental that wasn’t completely done. They were actually impressed. He encouraged me to keep going and he said that I’ll get better. I’m glad I took his advice. Because I was still teaching at the time and I had lost the drive and motivation, and I decided to continue teaching. This gave me purpose, I built up another form of discipline, and I enjoyed creating the concepts of each EP and the whole EP series. Incorporating my talent/ skill as a teacher to tell small stories within one big story. And also using my creative talent to use multiple apps to create the visuals. The process was brutal, I am a “picky perfectionist” which made me meticulous about the story each visual would tell.

This short video explains what angel numbers are and the spiritual symbolism associated with the concept.

I do a lot of reflecting in my poetry, so you’ll hear that in my music. I sometimes hate it because it’s bad enough that I have “the memory of an elephant.” My poetry makes me remember all the details surrounding each poem. There are some poems that will “never see the light of day.” They are too bark/ grim because in those moments I couldn’t see the proverbial “light at the end of the tunnel.” Music gave me that light and I held out on hope. I didn’t know how, but I knew things would get better… eventually.

This song is a snippet called “Memories Vivid (remake).”
